On the 10th of November, the Unit held a small Remembrance Ceremony at our Browns Plains Cadet Depot. A weekend of field training for 1/19 New Recruits and cadets participated in a variety of challenging activities, involving bush/field craft, minor military skills, first aid, engineering, navigation and QDE appropriate to their training level.
The Logan City Community Cadet Unit paraded at several different locations on ANZAC Day 2019. We were proud to have provided the Catafalque Party and Flag Bearers for the services at the Logan Village RSL sub-branch, Jimboomba RSL and Greenbank RSL as well as the Ecumenical Service at St James Anglican Church in Jimboomba.
The last weekend in February 2019 saw 14 new recruits on their In-barracks course, and some NCOs doing their Senior Leadership Course. It was a fruitful weekend with everyone learning new skills and what life in LCCC is all about. Click here to view the photos of this event.
On the weekend of 3-14th of October, LCCC was involved with Ex Stone Pillow 18 to raise awareness on the issue of homelessness within the Australian Military Veteran Community and to raise funds for organisations that provide housing and support to homeless veterans and their families. Exercise Shakeout 18; Recruit 1/18 Field Training and Company Field Training was held on the weekend of the 23rd - 25th March. LCCC had the pleasure of having several Bushmen Cadets on the exercise with the Company.
