HOME TRAINING PARADE NIGHTS
The Cadet Company parades every Wednesday night from 6:00pm (1800 h) until 8:30pm (2030 h) excluding Qld state school holidays. This is known as the Home Training Program (HT Program).
The HT Program contents includes a variety of activities from training for upcoming events such as drill for ANZAC Day, field craft/ military skills for weekend exercises, visiting lecturers and general knowledge.
COST
LCCC membership fees are very competitive compared to most sporting, scouting or other community groups.
YEARLY MEMBERSHIP FEE
$150.
The Annual Membership fee covers the Insurance costs and must be paid by the 30th of June every year.
UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT
All uniform and Equipment is on loan to the cadet while the cadet is enlisted in LCCC. A REFUNDABLE Deposit of $150.00 for Issued Equipment must be paid prior to the first exercise after registration.
EXERCISE/ACTIVITY
Fees vary depending on the type of weekend exercise or activity. Weekend exercises usually range from $25:00 to $100:00 depending on the duration, catering & transport requirements.
HOME TRAINING NIGHT FEES (SUBS)
Single cadet – $10.00 per night
2 cadets – $18:00 per night
3 cadets – $24:00 per night
This fee includes a light meal and cordial provided by the Parent Support Group during the HT(Home Training) Wednesday night evening supper break.
Canned drinks can be purchased for $1.50 each
WEEKEND FIELD EXERCISES
The LCCC has a rigid training program that requires cadets to pass certain modules to attain a command position, or promotion within the unit. The tests for these skills are done in a variety of ways; however running field exercises to test the cadet’s ability is the proven method for the cadet unit.
The unit conducts up to 6 weekend exercises a year which can include Recruit Training, Field/bush craft, navigation, survival, leadership, Military skills, range shoots and Cadet challenges.
A 6 monthly Parade Card (Jan-Jun & Jul-Dec) outlining the weekend exercises, HT Parade nights & other unit activities can be obtained from the Unit Reception Desk.
LOCATION
Alpha Company has its own purpose built Cadet Hall named the Tom Hamilton Cadet Hall, Q-Store/Office building and toilet/shower block located in Acacia Park on Fern Street, in Browns Plains.
