GRAND OPENING OF NEW CADET HALL

We are finally there, we now officially have our own place to call “Our Home”.
The Official Opening, Hall Naming & 14th Birthday Parade took place on Saturday 03 March 2012.
The Cadet Hall was Officially opened by the Mayor of Logan City, Pam Parker & The Local member and the unit’s Life Time Member, Cr Cherie Dalley. Our Honorary Colonel Tom Hamilton accepted and named the Cadet Hall “The Tom Hamilton Cadet Hall”. The unit then assembled and marched onto parade where the Unit Colours were “Marched On”, the Parade was inspected by the Hon Col, Promotions, Medals & Certificates were presented, the “Colours Marched Off” and the unit marched off to the Bands of the Coldstream Guards and the BlackWatch Pipes & Drums. Then it was time for the Ceremonial cutting of the Unit Birthday Cake by the CO & the youngest cadet using the units Ceremonial sword. A few more speeches and then it was into the Bar-b-que and festvities. What a day, many thanks goes to the PSG, parents and staff which helped put this day together and not forgetting the cadets who after much hard work during the day practicing the parade procedures, paid off, well done. magnificent thanks you all. The unit will continue to Parade on the Carpark, Staff, Parents and visitors are asked to park their vehicles elsewhere. Members are asked only to walk on the pathways as untill there is grass on the dirt, these unsealed areas can get muddy or very dusty.

LATEST UPDATE
The Logan City Community Cadet Unit is in the process of recruiting for the 1.21 Recruit Course starting in January 2021. The Unit welcomes boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 17 to try out at being a Recruit before enlisting. The first date to come for more information, to try out and to enlist is the 18th of November, 2020 at 6:00pm. Meet at the Browns Plains Cadet Depot on Fern Street, Browns Plains.
